Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Shane@mbsretreat.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines psychotherapy with the supervised use of psychedelic substances such as Ibogaine, psilocybin, ketamine, MDMA, or ayahuasca in legal and controlled settings. The goal is to support emotional healing, trauma recovery, spiritual growth, addiction recovery, and mental health treatment.

Legality depends on the substance, state, and clinical setting. Some psychedelic therapies are legal in certain states or through approved clinical trials and medical programs. Ketamine and Psylocibin assisted therapy are currently legal in parts of the United States when prescribed per individual state regulations.  However, recently the president signed an executive order that will be fast tracking clinical trials and therapeutic use.  While the details are still playing out, things are moving in the right direction with overwhelming support at State and Federal legislative bodies.

Research suggests psychedelic-assisted therapy may help with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Addiction and substance abuse
  • End-of-life distress
  • Trauma
  • Spiritual crisis
  • Chronic stress
  • Personal growth and self-discovery

There are many new studies showing good results in other areas as well.  Results vary from person to person, and therapy is not a guaranteed cure.  .

Integration Coaching helps individuals process and apply insights gained from psychedelic experiences into everyday life. This may include emotional support, spiritual reflection, goal setting, relationship healing, and creating healthy lifestyle changes.

Christian-Oriented Integration Coaching incorporates Biblical principles, prayer, faith-based reflection, and spiritual discernment into the integration process. The focus is on helping clients align healing experiences with their relationship with God, personal values, and Christian beliefs.

Safety depends on proper screening, professional guidance, set and setting, mental health history, and medical supervision. Psychedelics are not appropriate for everyone, especially individuals with certain psychiatric or medical conditions.

Experiences vary. Many people report heightened emotions, spiritual insight, vivid imagery, or deep introspection. In professionally guided settings, trained facilitators help create a safe and supportive environment.

No. Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy is intentional, structured, and focused on healing and therapeutic outcomes rather than recreation or escapism.

Healing is highly individual. Some people experience meaningful changes quickly, while others benefit from ongoing therapy and integration work over time.

Many people of faith approach psychedelic healing carefully and prayerfully. Christian integration support can help individuals discern their experiences through a Biblical and spiritually grounded perspective.

Integration coaches do not diagnose mental health conditions or prescribe medications unless separately licensed to do so. Coaching is supportive and educational, not medical treatment.

A consultation with a qualified therapist, medical professional, or integration coach can help determine whether this path aligns with your mental health needs, goals, and spiritual values.

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Integration Coaching are not substitutes for medical care, psychiatric treatment, or emergency services. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding medical or mental health concerns.
